Located in the heart of the Historic District, just one block north of the Historic Snow House, the Franklin Village Tea Room welcomes everyone who enjoys the art of taking Afternoon Tea. Located on the original site of the Franklin Ice Barn the Tea Room is steeped in history. The Village of Franklin sets the stage to immerse yourself in the history of Franklin and to enjoy the ambience of the Franklin Village Tea Room.

Originally opened in 1975, and ideal for any occasion, including Birthdays, Bridal Showers, Club Meetings, Red Hat Ladies’ Teas, or Children's Teas, the Franklin Village Tea Room invites you to sit back and enjoy this truly magnificent experience of taking Afternoon Tea. Just like our English friends "across the pond", our Tea Room is a delight for all those who enter.

Whether you are in Franklin for a Walking Tour, a visit to the Franklin Cider Mill, or just visiting the Shops of Franklin, we welcome you. Walking Tour Maps are available at all of our shops, and visitor information is available at the Tea Room for those who are first-time visitors.

Settled in the early 1800's, Franklin became a thriving village of hard-working immigrants from New York and Massachusetts. Known for building the finest wagons in the Territory, Franklin Village is to the visitor, the "Town That Time Forgot".
