Known throughout Franklin for a "proper English tea", the Franklin Village Tea Room was designed as a special meeting place for ladies (and gents) who enjoy the civilized art of taking time for tea.

A bright, cheery tea room with tables adorned in crisp, white linens and antique china, one feels as though they have stepped back in time when they enter the Franklin Village Tea Room. Decorated with beautiful florals sprays, wreaths, and tea pot chandeliers, one can feel the English elegance usually reserved for those who...

"...cross the pond."

The Franklin Village Tea Room offers you a relaxing venue to enjoy the many savories, scones and sweets, served on beautiful china by a gracious hostess. Kathi Russell, owner of the Franklin Village Tea Room and Franklin Snowhouse, along with other hostesses in English costumes, is almost always on hand to greet her guests.

Afternoon Tea may begin with a glass of raspberry punch, tea sandwiches (which vary daily), but might include a  Knightsbridge chicken salad, a creamed egg salad, or a cucumber dill sandwich, all served on an assortment of fresh breads. Traditional English scones are light and fluffy, and accompanied by a fresh fruit, imported lemon curd, Devonshire cream, and strawberry jam. Of course, Afternoon Tea would not be complete without a selection of light pastries including English raspberry cake with a butter cream topping, English lemon cake with fresh coconut, cheesecake rounds dipped in white chocolate, chocolate covered strawberries, or tasty, miniature chocolate cupcakes with a beautiful fondant frosting. Sound delicious? It is!
